This property, which used to be out in the country, and is now butted up against a housing development on the back side, has a large grass lawn for relaxing, listening to music, picnicking and for kids to run.

Italianate Victorian Farmhouse

Some family members live on the estate which is the original 1870’s Italianate Victorian farmhouse, storage house and barn.

Salomé  Garau-Taylor was our tour guide. First she showed us the old vine that has grown up to the top of the tasting room. I believe it is about 40 years old.

Next we tasted some wines. Isabella’s Rose, a Chardonnay and a Merlot. I love the labels on their winebottles. They are very simple and reflect a scientific notation that the winemaker uses when making a wine.

Salomé loves her garden and took us to see what she’s up to on her off hours. She plants her vegetables in a straw bale.
